Fashion, style, call it what you want, should be fun at any age.  And it’s important to bring some major mojo to your mid life!  Age has nothing to do with style.

Growing older is a wonderful thing, embrace it.  When you pass the big 40 milestone, you probably wear what you wear because it suits you, not because it’s suddenly fashionable.  It fits with your wardrobe and your style mantra.  You probably have your own sense of style and signature look?  So let’s celebrate that!  And yes, we all know there are supposed rules that you must follow when you’re a certain age.  But throw away that rule book and keep your sense of style and self.  What is appropriate to do, say and wear over 40 is really no longer relevant.  It doesn’t matter what year you were born. 

Gone are the days when hitting a milestone birthday meant conformity.  Our mantra is about looking good rather than looking young.  So it’s not about age, it’s about style.

Being naturally stylish doesn’t come easy and most of us, no matter how old we are, need to practise and find what works for us.   But experimenting is fun, so before you buy yet another grey cardigan, go and try something else!  Sometimes the most surprising pieces can turn out to be the best thing you ever bought.

We are well aware that it’s very tempting to hide as you get older.  Cover up and blend into the background.  Shy away from bold prints and colours.  But why should we?  We’ve worked hard, raised children, learnt so many lessons, so let’s celebrate that.  Often, a pop of colour can bring life to an outfit, don’t resign yourself to a life of dull shades! Embrace your individual style.
