Inspirations and Dreams
Welcome to our First Blog on the New Website
It’s titled “inspirations and Dreams” as this has been my vision for a long time. I started selling clothes in Hurstpierpoint 3 years ago inspired by my love of Italy, I regularly source clothes direct from there.
My passion for the job has kept me going on many a buying trip, which sounds terribly glamourous, but after negotiating challenging Italian roads, hot Italian summers followed by cold rainy days and walking mile after mile it can be quite exhausting! On the plus side (and there always is one) sampling the local Italian red wine is a must at the end of a long hard day.
Paris is another buying destination. We often drive to the tunnel at the crack of dawn, then onwards to Paris and return all in the same day. But I’m inspired to continue as it is my vision to sell good quality, affordable and stylish clothes that stand out from other shops.
Each item is carefully chosen for the shop, whether it be crisp linen for the summer or cosy winter jumpers. I try to source clothes that I know my customers will like to buy, that are quality clothes at affordable prices.
‘Real Women, Real Sizes, Real Prices’. Plus size clothes, bright colours and prints are a new addition to the shop. This is a market that I want to expand into and so far it has been well received by my customers. We are fully inclusive for something for everyone.
A recently added item is a dressing gown from a company called “One Hundred Stars”. The company was founded in 2015 by two sisters who had run a lifestyle store. They wanted to fulfil their dream in a new clothing brand. Their collection is inspired by travels around the world. Recently the gorgeous Nigella, in her first series of ‘At My Table’ looked absolutely fabulous wearing the pink and pistachio green ‘London Gown’. Even the black rubber gloves didn’t ruin her outfit, and it was tweeted ‘only Nigella could get away with it’. We say, we all can!
Keep an eye out for our next blog on one for every occasion….. Robell trousers.
